Power-TEC ceramic denibbing tool offers fast, controlled paint rectification

Thursday 09 July 2026

The new Power-TEC 92774 Ceramic Denibbing Tool provides bodyshops and paint technicians with a fast, precise method of removing paint and clear coat imperfections, offering a less aggressive alternative to traditional tungsten denibbing tools.

Designed to remove defects such as dust nibs, paint runs, sags and overspray without the need for respraying, the ceramic blade shaves away only the raised imperfection while gliding over the surrounding surface. This controlled cutting action helps minimise the risk of deep scratches or damage to the surrounding clear coat that can sometimes occur with more aggressive tungsten blades.

Manufactured from exceptionally hard ceramic—up to ten times harder than conventional steel blades—the cutting edge delivers long-lasting performance and maintains its precision over extended use, making it an ideal choice for professional refinishing environments.

Suitable for a wide range of painted surfaces, the tool can be used on automotive body panels, motorhomes, caravans, furniture and other painted domestic items, making it a valuable addition to the workshop or detailing kit. The kit is supplied complete with a carry cord and protective plastic storage case.

For optimum results, the Ceramic Denibbing Tool is recommended for use with the Power-TEC Shim Masks (Part No. 92439).
