One-handed PDR recoil hammer delivers safer, more controlled glue pulling
Thursday 02 July 2026
The new Power-TEC 92772 Quick-Pull PDR Recoil Hammer has been developed to give paintless dent repair (PDR) technicians greater control during glue-pulling operations, combining single-handed operation with an innovative spring-loaded recoil mechanism that helps minimise the risk of accidental panel damage.
Unlike a conventional slide hammer, the Quick-Pull features a spring-loaded centre shaft that automatically retracts into the handle once the glue tab releases. This significantly reduces the chance of the shaft continuing backwards and striking the panel after the dent has been pulled, making repairs both safer and more controlled.
Its compact design makes it particularly suited to smaller PDR repairs where extended reach and one-handed operation are advantageous, including dents on roofs, bonnets, van sides and HGV cabs. With an overall length of 270mm when retracted and 380mm when extended, the tool provides excellent reach while remaining easy to manoeuvre in confined areas.
The kit is supplied complete with six anodised aluminium glue tabs and an M12 x 1.75 adaptor, allowing use with the cold glue adaptors supplied in the Power-TEC Cold Glue Kit (Part No. 92645). It is also compatible with adaptors from the Power-TEC Cold Glue Kits (Part Nos. 92645 and 92646), the PDR Hot Glue Kit (Part No. 92760) and the Power-TEC Hot Glue Gun (Part No. 92663), making it a versatile addition to any professional PDR toolkit.
Weighing just 980g, the Quick-Pull is also an ideal addition to the Power-TEC Adhesion Pro GP System (Part No. 92748), further expanding the technician's glue-pulling capabilities for fast, accurate and non-invasive dent removal.
